For some people, Emotional Intelligence is instinctive. However, for many people, learning Emotional Intelligence and how to apply it in everyday situations can be a truly life-changing experience.

You are encouraged to keep an open mind and consider how you can apply the principles discussed to any aspect of your life. Instead of riding the emotional wake of a difficult situation, learn to proactively consider how your moods and behaviours can impact on yourself and others.

Explain the benefits of EI
  • Identify further opportunities for beneficial application of EI
  • Understand their current EI score and begin to build upon it, and understand EI principles
  • Apply EI concepts and skills to a relevant scenario throughout the day
  • Explain self-awareness and begin to contextualise it for themselves
  • Begin to manage their emotional state, upon recognition of triggers
  • Begin to notice and interpret emotional and behavioural responses in others
  • Create and maintain healthy, emotionally intelligent relationships
