Topics covered in this course include:

  • Explain the benefits of EI in leadership
  • Understand the history and rationale behind EI
  • Learn behavioural theory of trigger and response
  • Establish their current Emotional Intelligence baseline and begin to see EI in action
  • Identify their own leadership and EI tendencies
  • Recognise unconscious cognitive processes and identify how these effect emotions and behaviour
  • Apply strategies for overcoming heightened emotional responses
  • Recognise emotional responses based on the behaviour of others
  • Identify the consequences of continuously pushing the stress comfort-zone boundaries
  • Engage employees through identification and application of strengths in daily tasks
  • Implement strategies to increase optimal performance in teams
  • Apply EI learning to relevant scenarios
