Payment options

There are two ways in which a qualification may be paid for at Skilled Up:

For eligible students enrolling in eligible qualifications the Victorian and Commonwealth Government may subsidise part or all of the tuition fees.

Or

If a student or qualification is not eligible for subsidies from the Victorian and Commonwealth Government, this will become a fee for service arrangement where participants will be required to pay for their qualification (payment options are outlined below). Note: Skilled Up offer monthly payment plan to pay your tuition fee in instalments.

Government Subsided Training Place under The Skills First Program

Government Subsided Training Place under The Skills First Program initiated by Victorian Government. After a student has expressed an interest to undertake a qualification, their eligibility for government subsidised tuition fees is determined by the authorised Skilled Up team member.

In order to be an eligible individual for any training, an individual must be:
Either:

  Australian Citizen or
  A holder of a permanent visa
or
  A New Zealand citizen;
  Enrolling and commencing training in a course or qualification provided by Skilled Up between the 1st January 2022 and the 31 December 2022

Either
  Under 20 years of age (as at 1 January 2023) and enrolling in a nationally recognised training; Over 20 years of age (as at 1 January 2023) and enrolling in a nationally recognised training in a foundation skills list course;
  Over 20 years of age (as at 1 January 2023) and enrolling in a nationally recognised course training as an apprentice (not trainee)
  Over 20 years of age (as at 1 January 2032) and enrolling in a nationally recognised training course in the Victorian Certificate of Education or the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (intermediate or senior);

or
  Over 20 years of age (as at 1 January 2023). If you meet the eligibility criteria to access government subsidised funding as an individual you will only be eligible to:

  Commence a maximum of 2 course subsidised through the Skills First Program in a calendar year;
  Undertake a maximum of 2 courses subsidised through the Skills First Program at any one time
  Commence a maximum of 2 government subsidised accredited courses with the title Course in…’in their life time.
  Participants who access the Skills First Program to subsidies their training courses must be aware that accessing this program may impact on their ability to access further government-funded programs in the future.

NOTE: The student tuition fees as published are subject to change given individual circumstances at enrolment.

Concessions

Students who are eligible for government subsidised tuition who hold, or are listed as dependents on, one of the following current concession cards, will be able to access concessions on the tuition part of their fees. To receive a concession, you must present with a current health care card no later than 4 weeks after your course has commenced Refer to table of fees. These include;

  Health Care Card issued by the Commonwealth;
  Pensioner Concession Card; or
  Veteran’s Gold Card

Please note:

  Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students will be charged concession fees in all course categories where applicable.
  Concessions do not apply if a student’s tuition fees are being paid by a Commonwealth government agency or as part of a Commonwealth program or initiative.

Fee for Service fess

Fee for Service fees may be applied when students are not eligible for government subsidised tuition in accredited courses.
Note: Skilled Up will not collecting more than $1500 in advance tuition fee
Skilled Up offers these options which may assist students with their tuition fees:

  At the time of admission initial payment (less than $1500)
  Student Loan: Please contact Education Funding Group to discuss various loan options available to you. Click on this link edufunding.com.au
  Payment plan: Skilled Up and the student will determine an agreed monthly/ fortnightly payment amount. The total course fee must be paid in full before the training course is complete.

Prepaid Fees

In the event Skilled Up is unable to provide services in which a student has prepaid, Skilled Up will:
Place the student in an equivalent course, in a new location that suits the student and will provide the student with the full services paid for at no additional cost;
or
Refund any prepaid fees for services yet to be delivered above the threshold prepaid fee amount.

Course Cancellations

Our refund process reflects Skilled Up’s commitment to hold places as booked by students and the amount of administrative resources consumed at the various stages.
Course Cancellations and Transfers must be notified in writing and include the following information:
1. Identification of student
2. Effective date of cancellation of the student
3. The reason for the request for a refund
4. The students complete contact information (name, address, phone, e-mail, etc.)

Cancellation notifications received 5 days prior to commencement date will not incur a cancellation fee. Cancellation notifications received after the required notice period but before commencement date may incur a cancellation penalty of 50% of the course fee. Notifications received after the commencement date may incur a cancellation penalty of 100% of the course fee.

Skilled Up reserves the right to apply an administrative processing fee of $25 for any refund.

Learner Rights

As a consumer the student is entitled for refund under the Skilled Up Refund policy after signing into an agreement with Skilled Up.
